Know Your Tenant Rights
Substandard rental housing is a public health issue with life and death outcomes. Tenants face unsafe and unsanitary housing conditions, enduring mold, mice, raw sewage, broken windows, and more. What rights do tenants have to hold their landlords accountable? What rights do tenants have when they are facing eviction? What should tenants do if they think they have been discriminated against on the basis of race, sex, gender, disability, etc?
Know Your Rights Training for tenants will be conducted representatives from Iowa LegalAid, Prairie State Legal, Quad Cities Interfaith and Quad Cities Tenant Alliance.
