Sensory Friendly Sensory Bins

Sensory Friendly Sensory Bins

Jump into a messy sensory experience for your little one. Each taste-safe sensory bin will engage your senses and allows every child to use their imagination and strengthen their physical development.
The Library understands that our events can be difficult for some of our patrons and their families to attend and enjoy. In order to make the sensory bins more sensory-friendly*, registration is required in order to keep noise and crowd levels low. This program is best for ages 3-7.
*A sensory-friendly event is an event that is designed to be less sensory-stimulating and overwhelming. This approach often makes it easier for individuals who have sensory sensitivities, such as those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), who are sensitive to things like noise, colors, sounds and smells, to participate in social activities and community or professional events. - The Autism Services, Education, Resources, and Training Collaborative (ASERT)
