Zentangles is a drawing technique focused on developing concentration, personal well-being and creativity. With Art Therapy as its primary focus, it was developed in the US in 2004 by a monk, Rick Roberts, and Maria Thomas, an artist.
Zentangle is an easy to learn, fun and relaxing way to create interesting abstract art by drawing structured patterns. The creativity options and pattern combinations are boundless. Anyone can do it! This art is enjoyed all over this world across a wide range of skills, interests and ages. One of the great things about Zentangle is that it isn’t supposed to BE anything. It is simply beautiful patterns playing harmoniously together.
