Rain Gardens

Amy Kay (Clean Water Manager, City of Davenport) will explain how changes in our landscape affect how, when, and where rainfall moves through the environment, how water quality is affected and how rain gardens can help! Amy Kay has been involved with stormwater management for 15 years and has served as the Clean Water Manager with the City of Davenport since 2016. Here, she directs the stormwater, resource conservation, watershed management and permit compliance programs. She holds a Master of Arts from the University of Illinois, Springfield’s College of Public Affairs and Administration in Environmental Management and Planning. In this presentation, we will walk through a design example and provide resources to help attendees complete their very own rain garden.
