Teen Library Lock-in

Registration will open to non-TAB members on July 11 for any remaining spaces.

Teens (ages 11-19) are invited to spend hours camping out in the dim, locked, and empty Eastern Branch. We’ll play flashlight tag in the book stacks, learn about haunted places in the Quad Cities, play video games, do some cozy crafting, and eat lots and lots and lots of snacks. Registration required and teens must be picked up by 11pm. The online registration includes a permissions waiver and must be completed by the teen’s grown-up.

BY SUBMITTING THIS PERMISSION FORM, I UNDERSTAND THE FOLLOWING: *

I am the legal parent/guardian for the teen registering for this event, and I grant my permission for them to participate in the Teen Lock-in beginning Friday, August 1 at 4:30pm and ending Friday, August 1 at 11:00pm at the Eastern Branch (6000 Eastern Ave. Davenport, IA).

At 5:30 PM the doors to the Library will be locked and arrivals after that time will not be permitted inside unless organized with Ms. Amber at least 3 days in advance. I will be contacted if my teen does not arrive by 5:30pm.

My teen will not be permitted to act in a manner deemed unacceptable by the library staff or chaperones. I will be called if there is any unacceptable behavior regardless of the time.

My teen will be picked up by me between 10:45pm-11:05pm. If another grownup is picking up my teen, I will contact Ms. Amber by email to provide permission.

I give the library permission to take photos and record videos of my teen during the event and use them to promote the library, its programming, and services.
