Q-C History Hop: The Swenson Swedish Immigration Research Center
The Quad Cities are bursting with history! Join us in visiting local cultural and historical institutions and organizations around the Quad Cities to learn about the region's storied past.
Swenson Swedish Immigration Research Center is a national library and archives that collects, preserves, and provides access to resources for the study of Swedish-American relations. The Center also helps people research their Swedish-American genealogy.
We will learn about the collections of the Swenson Center, the history of Swedish immigration to Moline, as well as viewing their current exhibition on Swedes and Swedish Americans and World War II.
We will meet at the Swenson Center at 6:30 pm.
This is an offsite tour at the Swenson Swedish Immigration Research Center, Denkmann Memorial Hall, 3520 7th Ave., Augustana College, Rock Island, Illinois, 61201.
